A Guide To Hold Em Strategy

If you have a good Hold Em Strategy, you will not see as many hands won or loss before the flop. Players get all excited because they see two good hole cards and they start counting their winnings before the hand is even over. Lot’s of money gets lost that way. That’s why it is so important to have a pre-flophold em strategy in place before you even sit down at the table.

Players without a good hold em strategy often bet the farm just because they have a pair in the pocket. But if you’re counting on that pair getting you all the way through to the showdown, you have a good chance of going home broke more often than not. It happens all the time.

Here are some basic points to keep in mind when you are at the pre-flop stage of your next poker game:

• How many players are in the game? When you are playing at a full table of 10, there is a good chance that other players are also holding some cards that they are pretty proud of themselves. Plus, with all those players, there’s a much higher chance of one or more of those players picking up some additional cards they need when the flop goes down.

• Consider how tight or lose the other players are If you find yourself up against a table full of poker players who are betting wildly regardless of what they are holding in their hands, you could get outspent before you even get a chance to fill out your own hand.

• How big is your bankroll? If you’ re a little light on chips, you better have a pretty tight hold em strategy if you want to stay around until the final hand is dealt.

• What is your table position? If you are in an early position, the pot size can get pretty big and, if it does, you might not be as proud of that pair as you first were.

Remember, a lot of chips can flow through your hands from the pre-flop until the reveal. Don’t risk your winnings by betting blindly on what you think might be a strong hand. Take your time and play wisely. You’ll know soon enough if you have something worth playing. If you add these tips to your arsenal, you can really solidify your hold em strategy.
